This document marks a significant step toward a more digitally enabled Nigeria, aligning closely with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.

Titled "Accelerating our Collective Prosperity through Technical Efficiency," the Strategic Blueprint signifies more than just a text; it signifies a fundamental shift in Nigeria's approach to innovation and technology. Rooted in principles of openness and collaborative creation, this blueprint emerges from extensive consultations with various stakeholders within the ministry, ecosystem partners, and dedicated teams, embodying a spirit of constructive cooperation.

At its core, the document envisions a Nigeria thriving in the digital era, fostering an environment where innovation and technology drive economic diversification and inclusivity. It serves as a visionary roadmap, aiming not just to inform but to reimagine Nigeria, promoting equity, openness, and accountability.

The Strategic Agenda 2023-2027 delineates five pillars forming the basis of this transformative journey:

  1. The first pillar aims to transform Nigeria into a global hub of technical talent. This objective involves initiatives to enhance digital literacy, foster global research collaborations, and position Nigeria as a center of technical excellence.

  2. The second pillar underscores the crucial role of policy in nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship. Thoughtful policies will attract talent and investment, nurturing Nigeria's innovation ecosystem while ensuring widespread access to the digital economy's benefits.

  3. The third pillar focuses on strengthening digital infrastructure, emphasizing the link between robust digital foundations and economic prosperity. Priorities include expanding broadband connectivity, efficient spectrum management, and enhancing critical services to connect communities and empower businesses.

  4. In the rapidly evolving global tech landscape, the fourth pillar prioritizes innovation, entrepreneurship, and access to capital. Initiatives aim to create an environment conducive to innovation, supporting entrepreneurial ventures and attracting vital capital investments, ensuring Nigeria's digital economy remains vibrant and inclusive.

  5. The final pillar, Trade, seeks to elevate Nigeria's position in the global technology ecosystem. Through technology trade, strategic partnerships, and innovative policies, this blueprint aims to enhance Nigeria's leadership in shaping Africa's digital future, particularly amidst the surge in ICT and e-commerce spending.

With the unveiling of this Strategic Blueprint, the Nigerian Government has initiated a transformative journey. This document represents a commitment to progress and invites all stakeholders to participate.
